Parking light

Hi all and Happy Easter!

I have a question regarding the indicator light on my 2013 Q5 which can probably be answered by anyone with an Audi of a similar age.

I've noticed that when I've parked up and locked the car the red Parking indicator light on the dash and next to the auto stick remain on constantly. Is that normal or should they go off after a certain length of time?

The reason I ask is that I've had a tow bar installed recently which seems to be draining the battery so I'm worried it has been wired incorrectly.

My red light on the parking brake goes out after a while, on my Audi S5. I would be 99% sure it would be the same across all Audi models but I have been wrong in the past.... I'll ask my wife
