PAYG sim in A3 question.

As above, what will I get by inserting a PAYG SIM card into my MY 2017 A3 sim slot and have I got to muck about with any settings?

I added a sim to my Q5, MMI then just used that automatically for data ahead of my phone

Had one in a couple of my A5‘s and my TT - no need to change any settings apart from having to key some provider details into the mmi telephone options screen as part of the initial set up. It was pretty simple to do and never Needed to do anything else up to selling them.

I used GIFF GAFF goody bag - would recommend having a look at them

Other than using data on a SIM card and your MMI as a router I don’t think it provides any extra functionality. For the online Audi connect functions you need to subscribe to Audi connect after your initial 3 years and it’s like £17 a month. That gets you connect with weather, online traffic, google map overlay and a whole heap of crap you will probably not use ever. Mines coming up to 3 years so probably not get it as £17 a month is a rip off so CarPlay it is even though I’m not a huge fan.
