On mine for example, has the seatbelt warning only on the drivers seat.
The plug on my passenger side floor does not exist.
Maybe you have a similar situation.

U could be defo right there as i have never seen a spare connector at floor level but will check once i put seat bk in . Would u happen to know if u can get a loom with connector for seat plug and connector to fit into connector that the black plug goes bk into . Cheers

Maybe it is doable. Not sure though.
I had a quick look on an online elsa I found, and I found 2 wiring diagrams.
One for US models, and one for non-US model.

The US diagram has the switch for both driver side and passenger side.
E24 is drivers side belt switch.
E25 is passengers side belt switch.
Both connectors go to J234 Airbag control unit. Drivers side on pin 28. Passengers side on pin 30.

The nonUS diagram only has one switch.
E24 is drivers side belt switch.
Connector goes to J234 Airbag control unit. Drivers side on pin 28.

So in theory if you populate the second missing wires (from under the seat to the airbag module) it should work. One pin to pin 30 of J234, and one pin for Earth anywhere in the car.
And possibly some VCDS.

Cheers mate for ur in depth reply , but as i dont understand wire diagrams i think i will just have to leave well alone .
But would i be right to assume that 1 wire from said plug would have to be extended and then placed into the yellow airbag plug or am i totally way off base .

Where is the yellow airbag plug? Under the seat?
Actually if you see your drivers side, you will see the seperate connector for the drivers seat. This connector you will have to populate for the passengers side.
I am not sure where this plug goes. From those wiring diagrams I suppose that this plug goes to the airbag control unit, in pin 28 for drivers side and pin 30 for passengers side.
