l have used both types of machines rotary and dual action polishers and the rotary machines are far quicker with correcting paint but far far quicker to harm the paint they build up surface heat far quicker which in turn results in holographic distortion/marring due to its stationary/fixed rotation hence you need a DA polisher to remove the defects inflicted by a rotary machine as a DA inflicts very little heat to to the clear coat....most youtube vids like this are there only for click bait views
As for Dual action polishers the smaller the throw the more aggressive they are ie 8mm to 21mm A 15mm throw is the most user friendly
