Hi guys, I have been a member on here for years now but had about 6 year gap between the s3’s I owned. I have recently reserved a 67 plate sq5 and Now I’m going viewing/test driving on Saturday, the spec seems to be pretty impressive and best colour too (Navara blue). It has done 34500 miles what should I look out for at this mileage and age?

Going to assume its the 3.0 tfsi FY model and not the previous model

I purchased mine pretty much bang on the mileage as yours and sold it 1000 miles later but not due to anything being wrong.
I had all the history and up to the point of the 34500 miles, there had not been any major warranty work.
There has been a number of recalls including rust underneath the car which was most recent. (51G5)
Other recalls included 64F6 - communication between front/rear door control units
66K8 - wheel arch coming off

Following purchase (the same day!) I noticed my air con was not working. It turned out to be a leak in the condenser due to a stone hitting it. It was fixed under warranty but could have cost me circa £900 had it not been under warranty so do check this.
It's a bit of a mind trick because when you start the car, the air con is on and then after a few mins it goes to off. Apparently the stone hitting it is fairly common in Q5/SQ5s.

I also had an annoying clunk on the brake pedal when letting go. This was a known issue and fixed under warranty as part of a TPI from Audi. (Brake/Servo)

Final issue was a slight rattle in the back and that was fixed with some felt tape where the boot roller / parcelshelf cover thing sat.

So all in all, nothing major.
Do you have warranty with it from Audi or...?

These eat through brakes so check condition of brakes/discs along with tyres and the usual wear and tear items.
Also mine didn't come with the plastic 10 digit key for the MMI which enables the remote locking/unlocking and a few other bits - make sure thats there otherwise its around £80 to get replaced.

Spec-wise, I had on top of the standard SQ5 generous spec, matrix led lights, advanced interior light pack, hill hold, traffic sign, virtual cockpit, folding mirrors, flat bottom steering wheel, rear view cam and audi-beam.

Think that was it!

I had one from new for 23 months and 22k miles, a Sept 17 model. Loved it and it was no problem at all, had a couple of recalls sorted but apart from that and a service it never went to a dealer. Tyres are pricey, mine was on 21s and a torn sidewall at 5k miles meant 2 new and a big bill...

I only swapped it for a great deal on an M5.... which I kept for 11 months before returning to Audi....

That’s for the info lads, if the biggest issues seem to be recalls I’m not to bothered about that knowing it will be FOC works. Hopefully some might already be done. Is there a way I can find if recalls have been done on this car?

A dealership will be able to check the history of the car and identify which, if any, recalls have been attended to, as should any specialist that has access to the Audi service records system.

It’s not like Ford garages is it, where you have to speak to the dealership it came from or where it had the recalls done if any? My local is Warrington but I know the car in question isn’t from round here

No, it's a centralised system so any dealer / specialist will be able to access the cars history (providing it's been to an Audi dealer or Audi/VAG specialist for any work).

So after going all round the houses with Audi I now know it does have FASH and has no outstanding recalls to be done, but they couldn’t tell me if any recalls had been carried out. So with what I know now I’m happy anyways haha only thing is which isn’t a big issue is that between it’s 1st service and 2nd service it had done 26k miles
