Post Pics Of Your A4/S4 B9 In Here

Transporter delivered this, early this morning.

Will get better photo when I drive it properly. One rather annoying difference over my 2017 one I noticed. Drive select can't be changed via the *button in the steering wheel anymore.

Other than that the couple of miles I've driven it, it's quite quick (204PS TFSI) and you can't hear the engine, just tyre noise.

Is this an S Line trim or Black Edition?

When your dealer is practically your neighbour... but you can’t have the car until Wednesday! Here it is in the PDI Bay...

Had some Auto Finesse Aqua Coat so decided to use it on the quantum grey.

One thing I've noticed. There's quite a few swirl marks on the paint presumably from the dealer preparing the car. Can these be polished out?

Looks great . You could certainly polish them out, but I feel Quantum will be a never ending battle with swirls unless you take some action like applying a ceramic coating to make your life easier and you being able to sleep a bit better at night!! My new A4 is off to the detailers today for some Gtechniq Ultra ceramic coating prior to me collecting the car at the end of the week.

I was thinking maybe of something like that.

What's the cost these days? I was going to get my 8V A3 done back in 2014 when I took delivery but never got round to it.

I’ve seen prices range from £500-£750.

Swirls will come out with a machine polish . If you don’t want go to the expensive of a ceramic coat , you could always seal the paint and use a high quality wax

I have done Waxaddict Quartz wax that I've only used a few times.

Any recommendations on sealant?

I’ve been using Autoglym extra gloss protection for a while , seems good stuff.
Menzerna & Auto Finesse always make good products , probably worth a look .

Collection day :thumbs up:

Really like it, but need to get a few thousand miles on the clock before I make a final judgment. Compared to the TDI, it is so smooth and quiet. So far it is definitely the right move to go petrol, and the power delivery is nice.

Yeah, I like mine. Clearly lacks the low down torque but in sport mode and higher revs it can fairly shove you into the seat back.

Hoping longer runs make the average mpg better than 25 though

Did do a 40 Mike journey for work the other week and averaged 41mpg on the clock so not too bad.

Picked this up today, hasn't been cleaned by the Dealer as its off to a detailer later this month for some ceramic coating but a touch less wash got rid of the dust (I have a special filter to remove the hardness so you can leave it to dry without water marks ;-) )

S4 Avant Vorsprung adaptive suspension is really good so comfortable for a Sport wagon, had the opportunity to try out traffic jam assist on way home which was great, shame not to have the flat bottomed steering wheel but capacitive one is still a nice wheel.

My 'new' car bought a few months back. 2017 model bought with a fair few miles on the clock but got her for a good price and I needed to ditch my B7 for something ULEZ compliant.

She's had a full service since purchase, all 4 new tyres and some VCDS modding.

Lovely car.
Can i ask what the small silver knob does down next to the display dimmer knob? I don't have that one.

Its not an on off switch, but allows you to raise or lower the HUD position depending on your eye line. Its all ways funny what you pick out form a picture, its a bit like the switches on the centre console I have two blanks so all ways wonder what they were intended for or could control...

That centre console is a common component on several models and the switches vary according to the equipment fitted. For example on wife’s Q3 one of the spaces is used for the Hazard Lights and the other is used for something called Downhill Assist Function ( never been used)

You always notice the buttons/options you don’t have. Yours looks very similar to mine other than the steering wheel.

It is an on/off switch. The HUD goes off if you press it.

It does both, press to turn the HUD on or off, turn clockwise/anti clockwise to adjust the display height on the windscreen

I've finally had the car detailed first proper clean since factory has itched my OCD and looks so much better so thought I would share, has a layer of Gtechniq CSU and EXOv4 across the body wheels and G1 on all the glass.

Was carried out by gemclean, https://www.gemcleandetailing.com/ there the local gtechniq dealer to where I am they did a great job and they had some lovely machines in the workshop.
Some serious machines alright! Some stunning cars, although he has no pics of your S4 up yet :frowning:. Wouldn’t mind you posting up a few interior pics…not often you see a Vorsprung edition.

Yeah shame he didn't put it up, he only seems to put up stuff he is trying to grow, painting wrapping or restoration work, I got a private posting from him... In side isn't too different to normal other than Pano roof and hud, steering wheel is touring pack.

Thanks for the heads up spike I had seen that loving the car coating has been doing a great job too!

Little bit of love today. 2 stage polish with Scholl concepts S20+ followed by S40 and protected with Gyeon can coat.
Leather care company clean and cream. This stuff actually smells of new leather. Smells like an old Jag now lol
