preowned warranty coverage

Does any one know if the preowned warranty cover clutch and gearbox work?

I know there is a $50 deductable, but has anyone ever utilized the warranty for one reason or another, and experienced the process of dealing with audi. Please share your experiences

What does your warranty documentation say? Wouldn't that be your best source of information? Can't speak for the US, but I would expect clutches to be excluded (it's a consumable, so comes under wear & tear as Andymac said). The gearbox might be covered, depending on the nature of the defect. Check you policy & if it's not clear, ask the supplying dealer who sold you the warranty.

I agree with the above on the clutch. Not even Audi Uk will cover a clutch on a new car within the 3year manufacturer/dealer warranty!!

However, a warranty that doesn't cover the gearbox is rubbish. I never known a warranty that didn't cover engine and gearbox allthough there can be clauses and exclusions.
