Does anyone have an idea where to get hold of just the rear flexible coupler / vibration damper for a 2011 8P?

TPS dont have a part number for it and only list the entire shaft assembly at £1300.00

It seems odd that this is not available as a separate part from Audi. On most other models it is listed independently from the main shaft.
You'd also think that it would be a part that gets reused across the range of VAG vehicles.

Try a prop shaft specialist? They might be able to help/ have a solution.

I think I'm going to try and find an alternative part from within the VAG group

On further investigation it would appear that the fault was with the centre bearing and not the flexible joint.
Need to save for a new prop

Does anyone on here understand the nuances of VAG part numbers?
I was under the impression that the last letter was just a revision number but now I'm not so sure.

I need this propshaft part number 1K0 521 101 Q

I have found one with this part number 1K0 521 101 M

Looking at the 'M' part it looks the same as the one I need but it has an additional coupler / damper at the gearbox end of the prop.

Here you go from a 2012 8P RS3.
