Q5 q5 3.0 tdi?

Ive been looking at getting a q5 3.0 tdi. After a little google searching all I keep coming across is the horror storys of the auto box faults, failing, needing replacing etc harsh down shift to 1st sometimes resulting in stalling. I think this has put me right off to be honest. Or did I just come across a bad forum

Maybe that's a good enough reason to look at an SQ5 instead. It's a tiptronic box rather than stronic and pretty much bullet proof and a lot more smiles per miles
