Q5 Q5 excessive oil use stories

Thanks for the add. Just about to pull the trigger on a 2009 Q5 Quattro TDI 2.0. FSH, cambelt changed etc. Only thing putting me off is the stories of excessive oil use on the pre 2011 A5 and Q5. However I am pretty sure this only relates to the petrol TFSI engines and not the diesels. Is there anyone on her with more knowledge than me who can confirm this? Thanks

Yes there was an issue with the 2.0l petrol engines that had excessive oil consumption over a certain build time. No issues as far as I'm aware with the diesel...
