Quantum Oil bargain alert

Is this what people are using even with maps?

About the norm , has been 16.99 sometimes ( the older Castrol produced ).

Fine for Stage 1 , Stage 2 , 2+ might want to look at racing ester oil .

Usually with maps most tuners recommend a switch to 5W40 (Quantum Platinium)

Yeh I did think there was a change. Many thanks

Never seen Quantum for less than £26 for 5litres until now, where else is it under £20. Just bought 4 packs of the oil from this seller, should keep me going for a while.

One day....

And why would you put a lower quality oil in that is only a negligible one centiStoke thicker @ 100°C ?

Only following what R-Tech advised, anything above (or even at Stage 2+) I'd probably go with a much better quality of oil

My current stash of motor oil is from the same seller, bought when it was £19 per can delivered.
eBay went through a short crazy period when it wouldn't allow oil to be sent via any delivery service ( as it was a "hazardous" item ) and I had a few transactions with this very same seller refunded via EBay for that very reason.
I'm glad the lunacy has ended and they're selling it without hindrance again .
It's still a great price.

Quantum Platinum 5w40 is widely used for stage 1 and 2, it did me absolutely fine no problem however in preparation for stage 2+, I've gone for Millers Nanodrive CFS NT+ 5W40 which is a racing ester oil and highly recommended by a lot of people running stage 2+ & above and by the likes of R-Tech as well.

It costs £55 for 5L which is a fantastic price, I do around 8K a year and so only need to buy one of these annually: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Millers-N...Engine-Oil-5-LITRES-5L-NEW-2017-/162390723922

Tps do 5w40 quantum for £12.50. I know for 2.0 tfsi's rtech says you need 5w40 after mapping

But does Rtech know what 1 centiStoke is ?

I don't understand the purpose of 5W40 Quantum Platinium 502.00 505.01 , it's obsolete and should be discontinued .

Quantum Platinium Vs Quantum Longlife III .

Good news is judging by the Group 5 oil basestock 504.00 507.00 should contain ester.
