Would this newer style concert stereo fit in my 1998 B5 ? Which has a concert stereo but its tape and its doing the annoying volme thing where it goes lowd quite etc....

I'm also interested in this 1 my volume does that too, i seem to have aquired an electrical disaster car so far!

Hi, from memory I think only a concert 2 from an A6 or original TT fit (B6 A4 does not fit). Do a search in the ice section as there have been posts on this before There is also other issues with illumination and powerdown on non can-bus cars. There is a mod to overcome this on audiworld :-

I thought about doing this on mine but decided it wasn't worth the trouble. Bought a replacement concert1 and a phatnoise instead.

I dont know about wheter it would fit or not but I can tell you that you will need a kufatek canbus simulator cable for the illumination and on/off with ignition to work.

guys i have 2 original stereo's from mine and my freinds 1999 s4's
if anyone wants them
both perfect as we bought them to replace ours as they were doing the dodgy volume trick too....
