Since driving my Audi s3 8p car this week I have noticed and rattling/metallic noise only happening between 1800-2000rpm. This noise disappears below 1800 and above 2000rpm- it constantly happens when being driven and the engine has warmed up. I managed to replicate the noise when I parked up and held the engine revs at the above rpm !!!! Can anyone help with this ? One garage mentioned Heatshield and Flexi pipe but another garage didn’t believe this was the case until they take a further look .... any help would be much appreciated
