Rattle on start up.

Hi all, my 06 TFSI has started sounding awful on startup, its worse if I park on a slight hill, the oil level is right and was changed 5,000 miles ago, the car is due a service now. The noise is bottom end, big ends I reckon, it lasts for about a second generally. My worry is everytime it happens it must be doing more damage. The car has done 57k so nothing really.
Any thoughts??? Phil

Question here a fair few months back and told a few people's does it :-/

I had a mk5 Golf GTI (essentially the same engine) that did this, particularly in the cold. It got worse the closer it was to needing a service.
