Rear backup camera install on a c7

Hello all,

new to the forum and I appreciate in advance all the help from more experienced people. I have a 2012 a6 c7 avant with the navigation on sd card and cd player. I wonder how if ican install a backup camera. I also have vagcom from rosstech. Any help is appreciated. I attached the pictures of what i am thinking.

That's an ami cable, its not going to switch to when in reverse unless there's some bizarre adaption coding that allows ami display of video when reversing.

I actually wasn’t looking for it to switch automatically. I figured i can go to video input thru the mmi buttons only when needed. Will be probably like watching videos from a source was my thought

that will be a pain everytime you put it in reverse..

… and unless you have video in motion activated / coded the video signal will then cut off when you move.
