I'm planning on changing the cambelt and water pump on my 1.9 Tdi in the near future.
At the same time I am thinking of replacing the camshaft front oil seal as there is a very minor seep which looks like it is coming from the oil seal and leaking upwards like it is defying gravity !! This might need further investigation to confirm that this is the correct source of the leak.
If so, I take it that I need the pulley holding tool and the hub extraction tool to do the job properly as the hub is on a taper. Is the job really that straightforward or am I missing something?
