Help Please Reset MMI on b8.5

So I’m trying to enable background (ambient) lighting on my S4 and have done the green screen changes but now need to restart the MMI and it doesn’t want to play ball!

I’ve held down the three buttons indicates in the manual in every which way I can think and it’s not having any of it, here is what the manual says:

Although the manual is at least somewhat wrong because it doesn’t reflect the position of the buttons correctly, which are as below:

I’m now having to (very impatiently) wait thirty minutes for it to turn off, any advice?

Yeh I’ve done that, no joy! I have keyless - maybe the key needs to be in? I can’t hear his engine running so I assume it’s fine if it’s not

It's really bizzare as when I retro-fitted ADS on the car I followed the instructions as s per the below link, which is the same as in the above video. And I remember that I didn't start the car at the time of reset.
