Retrofit AMI and factory fit AUX now working together A4 B8

If any of you are like me and hate having things attached to your car that dont work I have found a way to get the factory fit AUX socket to work with the Retrofit AMI All thanks to a little bypass switch and some wiring

If anyone else is interested in sorting theirs out I'll do a guide.

Here's a video of it working before I put it all back together.

Well. I understand your solution, but I don't like it tho. I would make some detection on the aux input which automatically switched off Ami. If I was going to do it

This was a simple cheap solution which does what i need it to. I may look into a better way in the future.

That explains the fourth wire on the Aux socket which isn't on the stereo end.

yes, If I get a hold of a aux plug I would try to make it with a relay
