Q7 Reverse camera features

Hi all, hope you're all keeping well.

I have a little question, owned my '64 Q7 S Line Sport Edition for a few months now, and just happened to notice the other day a symbol on my reverse camera screen, was wondering if anyone could explain what it is, and what it's for. I don't think it's the self park thingy feature but any info will help! (Sorry for sounding dumb!!)

If you press the top right of the four buttons around the mmi rotary knob it will change the display to aid parallel parking between parked cars at the road side rather than reverse parking between two cars in a car park.
The ides is that you drive along and if the rectangle fit between the cars you can fit in.

Ahh I see! Brilliant thank you, pressed that button and it displays the area next to the vehicle where I should fit, yet to have a go with it though! not sure if I would trust it.

If you read the manual on the mmi it tells you how to align the curves with the curb and things like that.

Try it, the mapping over the display actually works very well.
