Reverse light switch location a4 b6 8e 2.5 v6 tdi Quattro

Hi my reverse lights are constantly on and need to replace the switch. Dose anyone know the location. I can’t find anything useful on google or YouTube.
My Audi is possibly the hardest one to find parts, information and guidance for.

Please help........

It's screwed into the side of the gearbox.

Not to sound sarcastic, I kinda gathered that. I’m asking if anybody knows the specific location. Not an assumption on the location. Is it on the drivers side, passenger side, top or behind drive shafts.

Thank you for the diagram. Unfortunately it’s not the same gearbox as mine. Wish I knew witch model box it was, I’m sure it would make it allot easier. My car is the quattro se if that helps

Also my engine is the AKE 2.5 TDI
That’s not the one on the link you have provide.

It is. Look at the engine codes list.

The link is for the 2.4 petrol. Also the gearbox dose not match. The gearbox is also a front wheel drive. The gearbox code is AEK

You may go to the dealer and get them to look it up because that's what is listed. I checked 2 other parts listings and both show the same. If you look again both the petrol and diesel engines are shown on the diagram. The diesel is just below and the ake is definitely listed.
