So, on the 5/2/18 poor Shania was written off by a woman who ran a red light!

I was turning right, my filter light had come on so naturally, I went. All of a sudden BANG!

Passenger side absolutely ruined, before & after pictures follow

Sorry to see your lovely car looking like that. As long as your ok, that’s what matters. Cars can be replaced, you can’t.

That’s exactly what my mum said, getting a call later to decide my Audi future, they said it could take up to 12 weeks if they don’t have the same car same spec same everything with 0 miles on standby..

Sometimes you just have to wait for the right car. 12 weeks is not so bad. Can’t you claim off the other persons insurance for a hire car while you wait? You now know first hand how excellent the safety equipment is on Audi vehicles. I know you loved that car, but you will soon bond with another. Keep us updated. As I said before all that matters is your ok. x

no they won’t let me because they’ve still not determined who’s at faultif it takes more than 12 weeks i’m taking the money.. gap insurance was worth it definitely! yes exactly, all windows went down, side airbags deployed and hazards came on. I did love it but at least i can potentially have another and i’ll keep you updated x

Shocking mate, I would have slapped her for that. Lying cow.

Surely her insurance company must realise she is to blame if she caused two accidents in as many weeks.

It's a pity you didn't have a dash cam as it would have recorded you going through a green light.

Good luck buddy.

That’s exactly what i was thinking, her boyfriend in the passenger seat was milking ithe had high blood pressure because of his vape and tried blaming it on the accident haha mug

I’ll be getting one with the next car!

Commiserations mate!
That looks a sore one so you're lucky you've not got major injuries.
I can relate to this after a previous A5 I had was side swiped when it was only 6 months old. £12k of repairs to my car, £3k injury bill for me and the taxi driver losing her job, every was right as rain  Ambulance driver said " nice car, but it's a lump of metal and can be replaced" He was correct :thumbs up:

the only thing i’ve noticed is that when i move my neck in a certain way it’ll crack :/

I wasn’t even side swiped.. she sent me flying 90degrees!!

damn, i don’t even want to know what the cost of this is - i just know it’s more than 60% because it’s written off!

that’s what the police officer on the scene said to me, did hit hard because it was my first accident.

I’ve decided to take the gap insurance and go for total loss as it’ll be more financially sensible for me

wow looks bad mate, glad you're OK. Caused two accidents in as many weeks!!! sounds like she should be taken off the roads!

Have to ask! Why Shania though???

Sorry to hear this, but at least you are OK, would go to the Dr to check out your neck though.

Should all be settled very quickly if she has already admitted liability, so if you are going for a replacement factory order you should be able to get a hire car for the duration as long as you push your insurance company a little bit

I'm sure all insurance companies are different but the cases I dealt with for Liberty insurance only had a car until they were paid out then the claim was done and dusted and they were off hired (that was for non fault claims)

It may be different now or with different insurers, hopefully you'll have transport until you have another car, especially as it's not your fault so you shouldn't be worse off than beforehand!

Thing is she admitted liability to my face and then has the audacity to claim that i was racing, which is kinda impossible when there’s a speed camera RIGHT THERE WHERE IT HAPPENEDand she couldn’t see me until i was in her path

i had a courtesy car from the garage that it was at to be assessed but went back once the decision had been made that it was written off. They’re saying they don’t know who’s at fault still so refusing to give me one. enterprise won’t give me one because i’m 18 and Audi won’t give me a car either so i’ve gone with total loss.

That was the case, we put them in hire through enterprise until they had the cheque and then that was it, they were off hired. Crappy situation I know but I guess once they've paid out for the car the claim is finished and they've 'done their bit'.

Same with courtesy cars, they'd go back as soon as the car was declared a total loss.

Mate please get yourself to A&E and get your neck X rayed, you could have broken something.

Similar thing happened to a guy my dad used to work with. He was involved in a car crash and was waking about for 2 wks unaware he had suffered a fracture. Apparently if he'd moved his head a certain way he would have ended up paralyzed.

because of the accident, couldn’t get there because no buses and couldn’t keep affording a taxi and couldn’t get a lift

Get referred to a specialist by our insurers with your injured neck for two reasons.
Firstly don't take any chances with a neck injury.
Secondly the idiot who hit you will need to pay.
I don't condone false claims but in your case it's genuine.

i was referred but i couldn’t get to the appointment so i told them there was no pain, soon left me alone. They wanted 25% of the claim!

Strange, never had that with mine. I had the whiplash / stiff neck, burnt left hand from the steering wheel airbag as well as them having to reconstruct part of my right hand which was chopped by the curtain airbag on the drivers door.

Don’t think about it, do it.

Why should you suffer just because some bint was driving dangerously? Take her for everything.

Gutted for both your car and job loss hopefully the legal cover on your insurance will help you get this sorted.

Now, I can't be the only one who is curious about the name Shania... Do tell !
