Was trying my sat nav dvd on my mates a3 and it kept coming up with "incorrectly inserted" message. But works first time no probs in mine.

My rns-e sw 0650, hw h72, dvd 8p0919884_be_euw

mates rns-e sw 0100, hw h50.

Maybe its to do with firmware version? How can i update the firmware? I have genuine vag-com

The firmware is contained on the disc itself, and you should never put a disc into a system that has had a newer disc in it.
As for your friends system, it may be the laser requires cleaning our replacing.

cheers for quick reply. Quick google search comes up with possible dvd drive replacement. Anyone recommend someone who can do this? ideally leeds/west Yorkshire area
