RNS-e to RNS315

Hi all

I am having the RNS315 replaced in my current VW Tiguan tomorrow with a Kenwood unit and wondered if I could fit the 315 in to my Mrs 2013 2.0 TFSI A3 8p final edition Cabriolet?
I do not seem to be able to find any definitive info on this swap and what I have read is confusing the hell out of me!
I have no idea if any steering buttons etc will work or if I would need to code anything so hoping someone can enlighten me?

The info I am asking for refers to fitting of a head unit in to an Audi so it is hard to know where to post really.

It will plug in and function however it will not fit in the radio hole as the 8P is rounded, not totally square like the VW models and you'll fail in getting a trim surround for it.

You'd be better selling it and getting a RNSE if you're adamant you want nav.
