RNSE mk2 reverse camera install

Im planning to install reverse camera for my RNSE mk 2 (glossy frame)

I have read multiple threads about this but can't seem to find out if this is possible for the newer RNSEs with the media button instead of the CD/TV.

I have seen this adapter on eBay.

Will this work with the new RNSE? And all I need to buy is the actual camera?


Looks like the adapter comes with a loom which plugs straight into the back of the RNSE?

In the meantime I have been looking at different types of reversing cameras-I have been looking at eBay and noticed that there is a wide range of quality/price difference.

I have managed to narrow it down to two different cameras that I might want to buy ( both from German seller)

One has 420 TV lines and has a wide viewing angle of 170deg:

The other has 640 TVS lines and I think may have built in parking sensor??

The strange thing is the one that appears to have a higher quality image is cheaper? I don't undertand why?

Anybody know what the mk 2 RNSE resolution is and what camera I should go for?

Pretty sure you need the R8 Camera module and Q7 boot handle? Not 100% sure as I've not looked into it in too much detail, as its quite low on my to-do list

Lol I know it's not an essential mod for everyday driving but it looks pretty cool!

Anyone on here who has done this mod with the newer style RNSE's?

Is there a guide with parts?

Don't think theres a guide but should be pretty simple, Camera->R8 module->CanGateway

Please don't take offence bud, but if you don't know what the gateway is, I would suggest you get one of several retrofitters on here to do it

It was more a question of which camera should I get-there is one with 420 tv lines and one with 640..

Was about to buy a reverse camera module from a guy off eBay and he said it is only possible with the old RNSE s
