RS3 8Y Picture Gallery Thread

its the number Motor Source Group gave me, but I don't get official Audi order paperwork, as its though an agent, so it might be wrong?
I did order very early 11/08/21
The format looks correct, I ordered mine on 13/08, then I suppose there will be paper to keyboard entry delay etc..

Another test drive ...

Thats around 8000 between yours and mine in week 32 of 2021. Which does not make sense. So there must be some indexing scheme in place.
Some figures that might be of interest:
Audi deliveries to customers in 2021 across all models:
World: 1,680,512
Europe: 617,048
UK: 117,993
UK alone is ~2.27k per week. If they're numbered consecutively you could quickly get a few thou between order numbers.

Who put that front plate on :tearsofjoy:
That annoys me so much. Especially as it looks to be drilled in, so I specifically ask the dealer not to drill the plates on. Although I’m sure the bootlid has drilled holes from factory, so they’re usually spot on.

my salesman made a point of telling me he insisted my front plate was stuck on and not drilled (& it was straight) so that was a nice touch

Picked this up earlier today and am very pleased with it so far.
A bit more "classic" RS, as opposed to the "newer age" styles of Carbon Black & Vorsprung (to borrow from old Subaru terminology).
I like the black & silver contrast, which ties in nicely with the standard interior, and black makes the front end more attractive to me.
Will post more on what it has/has not got over the weekend but, as a starter, it does not have the full TPMS.

Those wheels and silver accents work the best on mythos imho.

Enjoy!

MSG did say my order was immediately submitted to the dealer but Audi UK would wait for a batch of 100 or so before submitting to factory.
I have thought since whether the dealer also waits for a batch so they can bulk order to be able to give us the big discounts? Although the Audi order number given does not suggest a delay.
It just seems strange Vorsprungs are now starting to turn up but I’m still at BW23 = makes no logical sense.

I placed my order on a Thursday, the dealer said they would order it first thing on the following Monday, which slightly annoyed me at the time.

It then looks like it goes to Audi UK......and what do they then do? they could wait for a certain number of the same model? they are ordering close to 2500 cars per week so presumably there is some sort of 'sorting' going on? and then on to Audi de, I guess they then re sort them again

Mine (Vorsprung SB) was due for build week 49 2021 and I have heard nothing since

This is going to take a lot of effort… mythos shows everything!!

The grills are a pita. Drips in and around the boot are a pain - really need a air drier style something to blow dry it…

Interior done with gyeon leather care and was easy to use and should protect it for a couple of months.

if that is 65k including roatax i might grab it but not work 70 + all extras plus you be second owner

Come from Crewe Audi.

Yup you’d be second owner and £500 extra to tax it.

What happens to the large first year tax if the car is sold within the first year?

They cant refund the full amount and then charge £500 to second owner, they dont do loopholes. only parties :)

Looks like.all LE will end up on auto trader..
I'm coming to the conclusion that the easiest way to know when Carbon or Vorsprungs are starting to arrive is just watch Autotrader, if theres none on Autotrader there's none in the dealer network :)
