RS3 servicing costs?

Hi, I'm considering getting an RS3 to replace my S3. Just wondering how much more Audi charges for the servicing?

My guess is that the actual work involved is very little different to the S3 servicing, however, knowing Audi, I presume they charge more for the services just because it has an RS badge!

So, what sort of servicing costs am I looking at? As a comparison, I paid £197 for my first S3 service (oil change) and then £368 for the second service (oil change, pollen filter and inspection). Are the RS3 service costs a lot more than this?

I got the dealer to price match a local garage for my service. £387 down to £159 for the first service!

I certainly wouldn't let servicing costs be the deciding factor over whether you get an RS3 or not.

Costs in OP seem about right to me. Expect a RS to need a bit more tlc than a S though

Plus there are larger quantities of fluids etc due to the larger engine/more cylinders etc.

Don’t expect a larger figure for regular oil services etc, I’ve found that the prices are the same as a diesel A3 when you battle down the RS premium. I’ve never had a problem with the RS premium though really.

As above, obviously larger quantity of fluids will cost more but other than that you won’t see a difference to an S3. Brakes are double that of an S3... £480 for S3 and up to and beyond a grand for the RS3.

Cheers guys. It was mainly the "regular" servicing prices that I was curious about, so hopefully it wouldn't be too expensive compared to my S3.

The brakes sound pricey though. Does the RS3 "eat" through brakes a lot quicker than an S3? I only do about 8000 miles per year and haven't had to replace the brakes in my S3 yet (I've had it two years now). I'd probably only keep an RS3 for 2-3 years so I wonder if I would have to replace the brakes during that time?

Ooooooft. Sore one. Didnt know that! Not cheap. Surely breaks won’t fade that quickly unless you drive like you stole it pretty much everywhere?

Brakes will last a long time provided you don't drive crazy fast or track it.

Had mine since Nov 2015 and still on original brakes/pads after around 12000 miles...

For the record, my 2018 with ceramics is at 31K miles and getting close to needing pads on the front (for the first time). No track driving. Driving style - as you should drive an RS3.

Most servicing costs arent much different between our S3 and rs3.

Big difference is tyres, fuel, insurance

Tyres:
S3: £160 for 2 michelin PS4 @ costco, they are 18in though.
RS3: £263 for fronts and £280 for the rears on the rs3, though that's main dealer though as most fitters near me either don't stock pirellis or wont fit them or michelins and i didnt find specialist much cheaper either and i dont trust kwik fit places!

Insurance for me is about 50% more than the S3.....S3 insurance went up 5% this year, RS3 went DOWN at the same insurer by 5% (unreal, first time ever in 30 years driving thats happened!)

Fuel - not massive but adds up over time
S3 max is 42.1mpg, but real world is nearer 29mpg
RS3 max is 30mpg, but real world is nearer 25mpg

ceramics and pads, im confused. i thought you had either. so does it needs new ceramics already if so wow, thats gonna be expensive - the fronts were a £4350 option i didnt tick...no thank you very much, not worth it as they are only worth it for the track - i wont track the rs3 and to be blunt i would use a track car on a track, e.g. caterham, radical, atom 4, track prepped max5/clio 16v, etc
