Standard RS4 rep alloy came off a vw bora
Had a fair bit of curbing, not as bad as my turbo wheels tho they were batterd
I got the tyre taken off and used some p1000 grade wet/dry to take the top layer of paint off and then used filler to get it looking like this.
Now it was time to get some heaveygrade e800 sandpaper to get the filler down, this took a while but got there, my electric sander broke to so just carried on.
Once i had the filler down smooth i give it a light coat of white paint to show any high spots or cracks, there is one here so i ran a light bead of filler to get rid of it:icon_thumright:
once all the filler had been done i ended up with it looking like this, i was chuffed with how good it looked, all marks had gone.
now i started putting primer on i did a couple oflight coats then went thicker
Coat number 1, above and below is what it looked like by coat 4
it was now time to start putting the silver on below is after coat number 2
this is coat 5 and ready for laquier below are closer pics of the finish,
And now they just needed lacquer, which i did photograph but my cam decided to error them
i ended up selling this wheel last year as my other 2 were damaged (cracked)
what i used to do it was poundland grey primer, white and alloy silver paint, p1000 wet/dry and e800 sandpaper very rough!!!
i did just to try it really i would have used a better quilty paint and compressor if i was doing a full set.
