Hi - I have recently bought an RS4 B5 2001. I knew it needed replacement discs and calipers all round. I have located Zimmerman Discs for the front and rear but, calipers are not so easy. Std units are single piston and not particularly effective. Can I fit B7 calipers without mods or is there a recommendation for 4 pot units or suppliers. Let me know. Paul

B7 RS or Brembo 18z’s are popular upgrades for the B5, both will work with minimal modification. Whether or not they’ll work with the discs you’ve bought I’ve no idea. Some useful info here:

There’s a guy called Douglas Grant, his username over on AudiSRS is jockthedog, I’m not sure if he’s a member on here. He’s well known in the B5 community for gearbox rebuilds and repairs, so he’d be my first port of call. Not sure about the diff I’m afraid.

- another question on the calipers. I have purchased a set of Brembo caliper for the fronts to fit a B7. The present B5 carriers will need to be replaced to suit the new calipers - will the B7 carriers fit the B5 hub or is aconversion required.
Thanks for the earlier help for the gerbox repair - Doug or Jock the Cog is due the repair the box in the next few weeks. Paul
