Jase0851 did this on his Avant - looked great! Also NHN did in in an A3 IIRC. There's a guide somewhere. Go on, be brave

Fitted to my B6 cabrio. Needs to be relayed up to work as the original button is nothing but a tiny microswitch, but easy enough to fit if you are ok with electronics.
