Hi
I would appreciate some help. I have just ordered a new RS6 with various options but unsure whether to add the Audi sports exhaust or take delivery and go for an aftermarket alternative ie Milltek.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

A newbie
Pete

I would give Miltek a miss, overpriced rubbish and not stainless steel + they still use MIG welds which will rust as well. Get a custom exhaust made from Stainless steel so it will last the life of the car, otherwise stick with OEM...

Thank you for your advice. I will give Milltek a miss. I would go for the Audi sports exhaust system if my Audi dealer was able to tell me what it consisted of,is it a different system or just a different pair of rear boxes.

Thank you once again for your help.

I have a Miltek on my RS6...

in fact, I had one on my S4 and my XKR as well... all of which have been stainless steel (304 aircraft grade)

they are great, never rust and sound amazing. I've never had any issues with any of mine in 10 years of having them.

you can hear my RS6 on your tube if you look for MRC tuning RS6 C5... mine is the dirty blue one... lol

Where do you live cueball somewhere dry and sunny ? I have s4 sports cats from milltek which were a mere £1500, i will take pictures of the state they are after 5 years. Milltek are really overpriced, for half the money you can have a fully 316 stainless steel exhaust made by a specialist, i would go with getting Hayward and Scott a try !
I have just done a dual 3" exhaust myself on my b6 s4, all tig welded 316 stainless steel and it cost me £300 in materials and 4 days to build alone between jobs. My car goes and sounds as it should and without annoying drone or farting noises...

Central scotland... hardly dry or sunny! lol

I don't have any droneing or fart noises... no idea how you've been getting them, maybe eat less greens???

as I said, I've had millteks for 10 years and never had any issues with rust, noise, fitting or quality... maybe you've just been unlucky with yours?
