Hi guys, thinking of returning to the Audi fold, since ‘changing’ to another German brand . Prior to this active on S3 forum, having had one for a while. Looking to changing to car for something ‘special’ for next 2-3 years. Fav car has always been RS6, followed closely by macan gts. Test drove new macan s (3rd generation) - wasn’t fully impressed in all honesty. Sooooo question ……. I know I’ll be getting slagged off for asking, but when coming to a new RS6 is mpg as bad as everyone goes on about??? If so, may have to be a RS4 . Advice pllllleease ‍:sos::sos:

Have to say I’m curious about the male gender symbol in the header?
Are you referring to the male or female RS6 variant?
If it’s the non binary non gender specific RS6 then that’s something else…

Anyway -only kidding.
Which RS6? C5,6,7 or 8?
C6-best mpg I ever saw was 25 and that was really trying. Average is 16.
C7- best I ever got (again really trying) was 31/32. Average was around 26.

I loved my 2018 RS4 in every dept other than sound, too quiet for me. With hindsight though it was an early view of what was coming down the road from other manufacturers!

Just to echo on that-my 2018 RS5 was amazing except for noise and ‘occasion’.
Milltek sort of addressed the sound (still no V8) and a DMS tube made it more lively for sure but it was still missing that rawness and animal aggression that I hankered for.
Hence why I’m back in a C7 RS6 (when it gets driven that is which is rarely tbh).

Lol!!! Don’t know how ‘gender’ icon got there in all honesty!!! Shoukk lol shouldn’t be there. Would be an 8 model I had in mind, just the usual decision … buy with your heid or buy with your heart???? Thanks for feedback!!

I see about 25 IF m lucky and taking it very easy but 21-23 is the norm. 8mpg common sight in the morning. Not sure whether my right foot is still a bit too heavy or the fact that its only done 8k miles and engine is a bit 'virgin' ?

I got my C8 RS6 back in July 2021 - i drive a short distance to work (4-5 miles) and yes I could walk it, but hey i like driving! MPG wise i'll get 10-14mpg there and back in 30mph traffic. On a long drive in ECO mode i've got at best 28mpg and that was with a light foot. Usually if i do go for a spin and have a small hoon i'll get high teens or v low 20's. It's slightly worse than my old 2015 RS4 which got around 14-18mpg on the same work journey.

So …… following on from post a number of months ago. RS6 obviously not here, cancelled order due to being messed about by Audi UK. Salesman was great and very honest, however, misinformation from Audi was irritating to say the least. As stated order cancelled, purchased a M5 Competition - knee jerk reaction. Lived with the car for 3mths, but just not settled with it. Found a RS5 in Aberdeen Audi, in showroom, which we’ve now purchased . Hoping to pick up a week today. Hopefully will be more ‘settled’. Experience hasn’t put me off Audis but just made me rethink the RS6 in general
