Hello
I have an Audi A4 2013 b8.5 3.0 tdi 245hp s-tronic.
I have a really strange problem when going off. When i stop at a traficlight or put in reverse and then putting the gearbox on D, when i let go of the brake pedal it suddenly stalls. It comes up in the dashboard, Start Engine manually. Sometimes its save its self and dont Stall but more often stall. And this problem only appears when setting of.
The problem is that it dosen’t show any fault codes at all.
Have somebody the same problem or fumiliar with this. Ive been to a lot of mecanics but nobody cant find the problem.
Hope somebody can help me with this problem

What is the service history of the gearbox (yes I specifically mean gearbox and not just the car's general service)?

S-tronic should have a fluid and filter change at 35,000 miles , 75,000 miles and 115,000 if not then you are building yourself a world of pain and serious debt!

The gearbox have I allways done the service in time, even before. That is taken care of in time but its something else. I did it 2 month ago again just beacuse this problem showed up

Maybe its not the gearbox then and the engine is not running right. Is it idling lower than usual?

Hi Shkelqim10, I have the same problem, just bought 2012 Allroad 3.0 Tdi that almost stalls when going from neutral to drive at lights or R-N-D when parking. It's intermittent and happens as soon as you take your foot off the brake. Stop/Start is also switched off. Gearbox specialist says the S-Tronic is fine with no fault codes. Car drives 100% apart form this. Did you mange to find our the root cause of the problem ?

I got a fault code now that says, clutch pressure at limit so i need to change te clutch

I had no fault codes, but after having my gearbox reconditioned, my stalling/almost stalling issue is now all fixed !

The solenoids in the mechatronic unit were the root cause and these along with the wiring and seals were replaced. As the faulty solenoids had damaged the clutch causing burnt clutch/clutch slip, the clutch was also replaced. I was advised that the problem would reoccur if I did not replace the clutch, as particles would mix with the oil and damage the new solenoids.

All repaired by Milta Technology in Bristol U.K. for £2500 including oil, filters and labour. These guys (Piotr and Geza) are very helpful and really know about these gearboxes. They provided excellent upfront advice and a great reconditioning service.
