S3 2010 fuel smell in oil

hi guys my oil is stinking of fuel and tail pipes are noticibally more sooty, no engine management lights on but that smell can't be right can it!? Taking it into garage to be looked at but just wondered if any ones had the same? Thanks

As I do smell fuel in my oil. But I've read that's is normal for these engines

It had oil filter and oil change in August and just been done again. Getting the injectors looked at next week to determine if there's a problem. Audi specialists can only think this would be the cause! Will keep you posted...

After having new engine fitted it failed again last week after 236 miles.
It turned out to be injector on cylinder 1 was stuck open.
The dealer replaced the injector free of charge and also replaced the engine oil as this was contaminated with fuel due to the injector flooding the engine.

Did you get any engine management lights come up? I've not had any on mine just noticed it when checking my oil other day.

Yes the EPC and Engine Management light came on and also the engine just turned over and wouldn't start.I know it's not the same problem as you but the symptoms of fuel contamination in the oil are similar.

Sounds like it could be similar issue, my fresh oil and filter smell of fuel again after 10 miles of driving! Got a long drive next week and a bit worried about driving it!

Hi S1k181.
If it was me I would get it checked out asap, if enough fuel get's in the engine oil it could lead to serious engine issues.
Sorry to alarm you but I wouldn't want you to have an engine go 'pop' like mine did..
