S3(8p) flat spot

Hello everyone new to this and only had my s3(manual) 3 weeks but seems there is a flat spot between 5000-6000 rpm I am running stage 2 Revo full Miltek sports cat and ITG intake, the flat spot is mostly in 4th gear but can be felt in others, been to a few machanics they can't find the problem any ideas ? Thanks

If you haven't got the RS4 fuel valve fitted then this is your answer.

Have you logged the car using VCDS or similar?

I've only had it 3 weeks done nothing to it mate so

Its awkward - sits right underneath/between the inlet manifold - have to bend spanners to get to it easily. Chances are that it won't have been done, hence your flat spot.

It'll sure to aid your flat spot issue - it increases fuel rail pressure.

Google RS4 valve and you'll have loads of answers across this forum and mk5gti forum. All with the same issue as you.

Another thing I had it pluged in to a computer of sone sort at weekend and the guys at revo said that there was no fault codes

Sorry they said watsegate is only opening to 38% a swell

I would try the RS4 Valve as first option..

Our Golf GTI Track car does the same and I`m fitting the RS4 item shortly

Has the fuel pump been upgraded? I was running stage 2 (all be it a different map) but still on the stock pump and and that created that same problem, l've now upgraded the pump (not the valve yet) and the problem has gone away, ready for stage 2+

Hmmmm no it's still stock mate so maybe that could be the problem :/

If its dropping off then possibility the pumps tired or the valve it bleeding off

I had this same problem. Installed the RS4 fuel valve and this cured the problem.
