S3 Bumper Fitment onto A3?

Hi guys just about to go and pick up a rear S3 bumper for my A3.

The guy says it goes straight on is that true? Ie no rails etc needed like you do on the front?

You might need to get the S3 rails as per the front, they're cheap tho and usually in stock.

It will go straight on but wont line up quite right without these(if it's the same as the front in any case)

You also need to change your exhaust too i heard as it the tailpipe is in the wrong position.

yeah you'll need to either have new tips welded on or change the exhaust itself, there's a panel on the a3 that needs to be cut away to allow the exhaust to exit from the right location on the s3 bumper.

It should be obvious when you line it up, just a plate that you can cut out wth an angle grinder

It fits without the rails but to get it to line up right first time you need S3 rails, or at least i did lol

Cool, I might trial fit my S3/4 front bumper this weekend if i dont need the S3 guide rails?

I got mine off Stewart on here earlier this year but havent had chance to swap it for the RS4 one on my car.
