S3 creaking steering wheel

My steering wheel has recently started to creak/squeak, when turning it and going over bumpy roads. Anyone else had this? Rather irritating!

Most likely the contact spiral / clock spring / slip ring whatever others may call it is at fault.

On my A3 they had to replace airbag slip rig. Since then no more squeaks

My steering wheel has recently started to creak/squeak, when turning it and going over bumpy roads. Anyone else had this? Rather irritating!

Noticed this the other morning after it had been -2 , I just pulled the lever at the side of the wheel so that I could move the wheel up and down, did that a few times and then locked it back in place....all OK since then!!!
