Hi mates,

I am going to change the exhausted stock pads for Ferodo DS2500, but I keep stock discs. I never go on track. Only street, 80% city.
Are there any drawbacks? (increased disk wear, etc.)

Many thanks

Possibly only increased disc wear I would have thought but difficult to quantify that - do the Ferodo pads have the pad wear indicator ?

Had those pads on my Clio Trophy and they were excellent but were also combined with Brembo discs and steel lines.

They are rather dusty .

I think Mintex performance offerings are better .

ATE do low dust ceramic pads as does Andy Freeman...

In that case...

I had DS2500 on previous cars and ran them with Tarox G88 discs, good times!!!!
DS2500 ran with moderate dust, but did occasionally offer some squeal once in a while when worn, easy I checked brakes once a year and a new dab of copper grease on the back of the pads would stop that.

I now run EBC red stuff on my car with EBC discs, was looking for nil to low dust and a little brake improvement, so far the dust is moderate not as low as I wanted but braking feel and stopping power is better than stock.
