S3 phone holder (photos)

Hi guys,

Ever since I bought the S3 19 months ago, its had the phone holder installed to dash board (photos attached). Ive searched high and low for the attachment so I can use my Galaxy S4 with it but haven't succeed. Would it be possible to use this as my orginal phone holder as it already is connected to a live connection and just use the new phone holder?

The audi cradle isn't that good and looks crap on the dash but you can go into Audi and ask for the adapter piece for your phone if they have it for sale.
The brodit holders are really good and i have always had them in my cars however it uses a normal charging wire. the wires behind the audi holder won't convert to a normal charging wire unless you know how to wire into it.

Thanks for that. If Audi don't sell my cradle would it be possible to take the old cradle off completely and use the holes to fit the brodit holder?

it can be done, have done it previously with a different mount but the hole it leaves behind is huge and the brodit mounting bracket is too small to cover it up

No worries. Is there a name/brand for the oem.phone holder? Looking on the net there doesn't seem to be any cradles made for anything but I phone's...

Just looking at the Brodit option. Am i right in thinking the proclip can be mounted onto the knee rest like its suggested here http://www.nemesisb2b.com/proddetail.asp?prod=653415
