S3, possible boost leak?

Hi, recently picked up my 58 plate s3. This is my 2nd stage 2+ S3 and it just sounds different to my old one. Maybe I'm being paranoid but thought it might be worth an ask.
Basically when your driving along in a high gear just under 3000 ram and put your foot down it makes like a fluttering noise from what sounds like it's coming from the bulkhead towards the passenger side. It does this from 3200rpm to around 4500rpm. It feels like it's not pulling to its full potential between those rev ranges but after that pulls fine.
Does anyone have any ideas?

The fluttering sound could be from the DV or turbo itself.

What software is it using.....mine used to sound much the same at Stg2+,and we definitely had a flat spot in the midrange at Stg3 and 4.

It's not the dv because I replaced that yesterday.
It's running unicorn software. Think they do custom maps. Only picked the car up on Saturday.
It just sounds like it's leaking a bit under the initial load and feels like it, and then pulls fine after.
