There is no way i'd pay list on a new S3 with all the options - £32K, unless they limit supply ala R32.
I was looking at used R32's on the VW web site last night as another option (along with scooby's, M3's, Porsch's) and there are flippin loads of R32's available (so I can't see its a limited production volume), they are around the £30K mark which seems a lot to pay for a VW that is.... (which is supposed to be limited numbers)
I spent yesterday evening doing a trawl of the S4's on the market and there seems to be limited choice (as you would expect) but look like there are great deals to be had. A lot I vewed were around the £30-32K range with the first 18 months depreciation gone, which I would have to bear the brunt of that with a new S3...
Hello ALB, I remember speaking way back on audiworld! Sad to hear that you had so many problems with your S3, the only thing I suffered was a probem where the electric motors on the xenon headlights go to sleep and dip downwards, but after just under 60K on the clock of a nov 2001 model it has only ever regularly drank oil (exaclty what the manual quotes) other then that it has been amazing fun to drive and a joy to own and rock solid reliable, being just enough understated to stand out and hide from the crowd (at the same time)....
(BTW it was unmodded too but I don't think that counts towards the relability as they are massively overengineered these autoban rockets!)
Are people he considering a group buy if we can get a slight discount? I am still unsure, but £30K is better then £32+ and it is worth asking.
Oh, yes, and I looked through the pdf price list 6 times last night, no TT mangetic suspension option..... damn, I was hoping that might make it to the S3 this time....
