S3 stuttering during acceleration

Hi all,

My 2009 S3 DSG has started stuttering under acceleration. Seems to do it more noticeably in 5th at around 3000 rpm with 2/3rd's throttle although i've felt it in 3rd, 4th & 5th with various loads/thottle.

Booked in to the dealer in a week or so. Any ideas what it could be?

had exactly the same problem with my 2010 went back in the end after they had tried everything. turned out to be a hairline crack in cylinder no.3 but it had other issues including a faulty mechatronic unit hope yours is a simpler solution and you get it sorted soon

S**t, that doesn't sound good. Will be p****d off if it is, it's only done 16k and most of those have been done by the missus with our baby in tow, so it's hardly had a tough life. My last S3 was thrashed every day of it's life (3 years with me) and it never missed a beat.


Incidently is yours DSG?

Exactly the same issue with my 2011 S3. Booked in next week.
