sorry was getting carried away lol.....i would choose the b5 over the b6 as the chassis was pretty dam poor, thats why (as far as im aware) they never produced an RS4....am i wrong? lol i normally am

there's an RS4.... only made from 2000-2001 AFAIK, but a stonking motor.... 344bhp, I think? There's one in Fontain for £20k! (with 440bhp MTM rework though)
B5 RS4..... 375bhp... just a reworked version of the 2.7litre V6 twin turbo....
the newer 32v 4.2 V8 doesn't like being blown on.... the C6 RS6 is the 5 litre V10 FSI engine - same as the new R8.... but with twin-turbo....... older C5 was a slightly different capacity 4.2 V8, 40v and bi-turbo (parallell though, not seuqential - like the BMW 335i),,,, so one for 4 cylinders and another for th eother 4!

Just a Turbo in the B6 S4 would have been nice...
...Maybe they should have done a 3.2 Bi turbo in the B6 just so it doesnt prey too much
on the Rs4 B7!!
the 4.2 lump in the B6 S4 was the same 40v* version that they bi-turbo'd for the old RS6, wasn't it? now THAT would have made an RS4!
