S5 brake replacement help!!

so I have a 2013 s5 which has gone to Audi for service and MOT today. Get a call advising the following:

Front disks and pads need replacing 90% worn - £580
Rear pads need replacing 85% worn - £330

Can break discs need replacing after only 26000 miles?!!

The above prices seem excessive I think?

I know a very good independent Audi mechanic who will probably do a better job and be cheaper. Would an independent doing the work cause me issue in the future when I come to sell the car and affect value?

Are they really that worn ?

Main stealers are well known for brake porkies.

Going to get my independent to check to see if it's the case...I have my doubts so told Audi not to proceed!

Last Service done was only 5800 miles ago and all pads and disks were fine so they might be trying to pull a fast one...who knows!
