Seat height adjust not working

Evening all,

The electric height adjust on my drivers seat has just stopped working.

When switching it up and down there is a clunk - but the seat doesn't move.

Is this common?
I guess I'll have to take the seat out and investigate - is this just a case of unbolting the rails from the floor pan and the electrical plug?

they're easy to whip out if you need to, take the trim off the back of the rails, cant remember how to get the inside trim off, i broke all the clips on mine :/
outside trim has 1 screw in the middle which is covered by a cap then will pop out
undo the 2 bolts at the front
pop the seat back a bit
you should have decent access to get to anything you need to now just by tilting the seat back, if you need it right out just disconnect the electrics (2 plugs) then shove the seat right back out of the rails and lift out

I had the same problem with mine a few months back. There a tiny switch on the seat. Just needs to pressed to restet and the adjustment works again.

I've fixed mine - was a broken micro switch, they are about £20 to replace (complete rip off but no choice).

IN terms of getting the seat out - have a look in here, tells you exactly what to do (and also how not to set the airbags off!)
