I have just spoke to the local stealer and they have told me the oil change and inspection service are two different services and carry two seperate charges they can go do one if they think im paying for two services

Why should they be the same dude? The inspection service is totally seperate to the oil service.

The oil service date and time shifts depending upon your driving, the date on the inspectionis fixed.

I currently have a very similar situation after Audi screwed up my scheduling.

I would get the oil changed next month, then get the inspection over with in 4200 miles.

HTH.

remember you dont need to pay the Audi for oil service or a normal service.
Im in the exactly the same situation as you and need a oil service in 800 miles, Dealer price £180, Local Audi specialist £140

I know what ill be doing

Audi will discount the service price if asked, and if there was only 40 quid in it, i would pay anyway to keep a full Audi SH.

When i bought the car i got 2 free services, used one last year for my first oil change and want to use the 2nd for the oil service and inspection service as it hought it was all one service im not happy about the oil change and inspection service being sepperate things meaning possibly two trips and two payments.I will defo be looking at my local specialist once ive used this free service.

Is it 2 services or 2 years servicing? Mine came with 2 years worth of servicing, so it isn't such a big deal that they are off kilter a little.

When i bought the car Audi had a special offer if you took Audi Finance then they gave 2 free services not 2 years free servicing. The delaer has told me today that once the car is booked in they then have to contact Audi (on the day) and they tell them if both services can be done together under 1 service charge and as the intervals are very close together then this should be the case but they couldnt guarantee it until i take the car down at the begining of October.I told them i am NOT paying for 2 services so hopefully they will sort it out.

Copied straight from Audi website:

Free Servicing: 2 years free servicing or 24,000 miles(whichever comes first). Servicing activity is based on the manufacturer’s recommended service schedule and any other work outside the manufacturer’s recommended service schedule, including normal wear and tear, is not included in the plan.
