Hi all,

I'm wondering what you'd recommend - main dealer servicing and paying the higher prices or taking it to a recommended independent who uses genuine parts etc and logs the servicing on the same electronic system as Audi main dealers, but for over £100 cheaper?

My main reservation is whether the car would be worth less when trading it in at a main dealer if i've had it serviced at an independent specialist?

Cheers,
Will

I can see your concerns about the trade in value, but I would think it will only be an Audi dealership that may take this view. I would tend to agree that the first three years would be worth sticking to the dealer servicing record.

Does your local dealer associate themselves to Audi-Sport.Net? Mine does, and honour discount on parts and servicing for members. It's maybe worth a try.

Hi I think most dealers will price match all you need is an estimate showing the use of gen parts and you can have the best of both price and main dealer stamp

Stamps are long gone, it's all digital service schedules now. Garages can have access to the digital service system and create service records, mostly likely big VAG specialists etc.
