No you’ll need to download it - there is a section in the user manual titled MyAudi Special Destinations that explains how to do it and what you need. It’s on pg 226 in mine . You can view the manual via the app too if that helps.
Personally - I find it easier to enter stuff directly via the control wheel - have only used the app once or twice when a post code wasn’t recognised

As above, the process of accessing 'myaudi' destinations is rather convoluted.
Unless I have missed something, the destinations are not downloaded to the car (unless you choose to navigate to it when the address is shown in the last selected list on the navigation menu) so if you are somewhere without sufficient data coverage then they can't be accessed.
