Shudder and brake pad warning light

My car started shuddering when going over 60 mph and the brake pad warning has come on.
pads have plenty left on them.
Also checked to see if the caliper is sticking and it is not.
any ideas what else could be causing this?

I had a shuddering at high speed was a tyre with bulge on it! Have you checked front and rear pads?

checked the front.
i don't think there is a sensor on the back ones so the warning light wouldn't come on if it was the back.

Not saying theres. Sensor could be causing shudder and making your front pads wobble, have a search on audizine a few have had this problem
