There are no issues per se in matching Misano Red (that's the colour of my S3) however you might find they have to spray a fair amount of your A3 to get it to blend in - but this is normal.
I had a very small blemish in my rear door I found after I picked mine up, and the dealership sprayed virtually half the car. Can't see it though 6 months later and trust me I am VERY picky!
I'm gutted for you. But at least it just sounds like a new bumper which is quite an easy replacement. As it sounds like the other drivers fault so get it fixed at an Audi dealership or Audi approved body shop. Shouldn't be any issue with Misano.
But a damaged rear bumper can hide other damage so get it checked out as soon as you can.

went to FastLane in Ascot that are Audi approved,
they took me around the workshop to reassure me and advised that edge to edge should be fine and no blending of panels required which im pleased about,
