So I'm running the standard front 345mm discs on my 3.0 allroad.

I'm thinking about taking it off road more often and regular green laning but I definitely need fatter tyres (At grabbers etc.) and change the wheels.

The sticker on my door says the smallest wheels and trye set up is 235/55/18.

Does anyone know if I can get away with 17" (or even 16"s) wheels and still clear my brake set up?

I know it’s not an a6, but I’ve got 345mm brakes on my a3 and my winter oem 17” wheels fit with about 10mm to spare

Wow, on your A3? You must be packing some heat to warrant rotors for a 3.0

What width and ET are your winter wheels? I mean I'd have to size it up as I'd assume my wheel wells are slightly bigger than yours.

But that's a really good reference, and useful to work out what kind of tyre profile I can handle.

Different cars and wheels but I've 345mm under 17" , wheel design dependant I've even seen 356mm with 17" too .

That's good to get another reference point to 17" though. I'll have to test fit any I can get my hands on.
